I'm Cassie

I’m an interaction designer driven by curiosity and creativity. I’m fascinated by human behavior and how people use technology in everyday settings.

I create digital experiences for real people that solve real human problems.

Currently, I am a freelance Interaction designer as well as full-time student in the University of Washington’s Masters of Human Computer Interaction + Design Program (MHCI+D). With a background in visual design, my focus is on creating digital experiences for real people.
I've worked on a variety of project types and have experience with prototyping and user testing, conducting user research, and rapid ideation and iteration. I have extensive experience working in Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD), and team collaboration tools like Asana and Slack.

I’m seeking full-time interaction design opportunities.

Background

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had a passion for telling stories. That love has always stayed with me, and I discovered design when I was 13. This space has truly allowed me to combine my love of art with my passion for storytelling.

Career

I’ve spent the last 5 years working as a visual designer at various PR agencies and as a freelancer. While working, I realized that there was still an element of human connection missing from my work. In 2018, I made the decision to pursue a master's degree in the field of human computer interaction.

Graduate School

I’ve spent the last year in Seattle, WA at the University of Washington in the Masters of Human Computer Interaction + Design program. I’m interested in designing products for real people that solve real human problems.

Beyond Work

I live for experiences. I’m on a mission to travel the US in my free time and see all of the amazing street art that every city has to offer. I’m also a fierce advocate for LGBTQ+ rights & representation, and I try to spread love, kindness, and positivity wherever I go.
